Visitation will be held Friday, February 7, 2025 at Jackson - Highley Funeral Home Chapel, West Helena Arkansas from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 12:00 noon at Second Baptist Church,167 West Park Street, West Helena Arkansas. Interment will follow immediately at New Zion Cemetery, West Helena Arkansas.
Ronald E. Reed, affectionately known as “Ronny,” was born on August 9, 1962, in Helena-West Helena, Arkansas, to Josephine Walker-Clark and father Robert Reed. After graduating from Job Corps, he set out to explore the world, embracing life with an adventurous and generous spirit.
Ronny was known for his kind heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering willingness to lend a helping hand. He had a deep love for fishing, working with his hands, and the rich sounds of Southern blues. A skilled and dedicated professional, he obtained his Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and traveled the country as a truck driver. During his time off, he found joy in teaching his beloved nieces and nephews how to drive, sharing invaluable life lessons along the way.
Ronny was preceded in death by his loving mother, Josephine Walker-Clark, father Robert Reed and his late wife, Aggie White. He is survived by his children, Ronald
Bridges, Jason Kitchens, and James White; his siblings, Gwendolyn Larkin, Jacqueline Smith, David Clark Jr. (Vanetta), and Taria Clark; as well as a host of nieces,
nephews, extended family, and friends who will cherish his memory.
Ronny’s warmth, wisdom, and love for life will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
