Visitation will be held Friday, August 18, 2023 at Manasseh Christian Fellowship Church, 855 Airport Road, West Helena AR from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.  Funeral service will be held Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Manasseh Christian Fellowship Church, 855 Airport Road, West Helena AR at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow immediately at Jackson Memorial Cemetery, Lexa AR. We will follow CDC guidelines:  mask, hand sanitizer, and the social distance standard of 6ft apart. Mrs. Pierce's service may be viewed live through ZOOM. Choyce B. Pierce departed this life on Sunday, August 6, 2023 at Crestpark Nursing Home in Helena, Arkansas. Choyce B. was born November 22, 1944 to the late Wyatt, Sr. and Kattie P. Donahoo in Oneida, Arkansas. Choyce B. accepted Christ at the age of eleven at the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Robinsonville, Mississippi. The family later moved back to Arkansas and united with the Paradise Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend E.D. Jones. After the church was damaged, they united with the Point Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend J.J. Jakes.  Choyce married Junior Pierce in 1963 and eight children were born to this union; Jonnie, Cordelia, Betty, Hezekiah, Willie, Georgia (deceased), Katie, and James. After the passing of her husband in April, 1974 the family relocated to West Helena, Arkansas to be closer to family.

She united with the First Missionary Baptist Church, West Helena Arkansas in the early eighties under the leadership of Reverend Dr. Nathaniel Hull, Sr.

Choyce B. was presently under the leadership of Pastor Chester Gentry, Sr. at the St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church before her health failed.  Choyce B. was always active in church; she was a choir member, usher, and finally mother of the church.  She always helped wherever she was needed in church.  She was the founder of the quartet group, The Pierce Singers and later join the Gospel Two with Ms. Georgia B. Hawthorn.

Choyce B. was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, two daughters; Georgia Dodd, Mary Woodard, two sons; Jessie Jones, David Charles Pierce, two brothers; Rubin “R.D.” Donahoo, Henry Donahoo, one sister; Dorothy, several aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives.

Choyce B. worked for McKnight Plywood, Bobby Brooks, and Chicago Mill. She had a loving and caring heart. She was no stranger to anyone she encountered.  She enjoyed singing, cooking, quilting, crocheting, knitting and other crafts that kept her interest.

Choyce B. leaves to cherish her precious memories seven daughters and six sons; Cordelia, Betty, Katie (Ron), Patricia, Wilma, Dorothy Jean, Linda Faye (Willie), Jonnie, Hezekiah, Willie (Hope), James, Carl, Kenny, forty-six grandchildren, eighty-two great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, a special niece;  Gloria (Phillip) Turner whom she helped raise and adored, two brothers; Wyatt (Jerldine) Donahoo, Jr., Solomon Donahoo, one sister; Maggie Donahoo, four special friends; Mable Lee Mitchell (deceased) and the Mitchell children; Essie Clayton, Sr. and her children, Florence Goldsberry and her children, Cordelia Lee (whom she named her oldest daughter after) and her children, two Godchildren; Crystal (Cory) Williams-Miller, Shaniece Jones, and a host of several nieces, nephews, cousins, many, many, friends, and other relatives.
