Visitation will be held Friday, December 2, 2022 at Jackson - Highley Funeral Home, West Helena Arkansas from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of the Living God, 201 - 299 Memphis Street, West Helena Arkansas.  Interment will follow immediately at New Zion Cemetery, West Helena Arkansas. We will follow CDC guidelines:  mask, hand sanitizer, and the social distance standard of 6ft apart. Mrs. Bailey's service may be viewed live through ZOOM. Lula Mae Bailey was born September 11, 1942, in Marianna, Arkansas to the late Elgie Williams, Sr. and Janie Williams. She departed this life on November 24, 2022.

Lula Mae accepted Christ at an early age. She was an active and participating member of The Church of the Living God for many, many years.

Lula Mae was educated in the Marianna Public School System. She later moved to West Helena, Arkansas and was employed by Helena Chemical for over 27 years until she retired. Once she retired, she enjoyed cooking, decorating her home, and spending time with family.

Lula Mae is preceded in death by her two daughters; Lavon Louise Williams, Christine “Tina” Angel, her siblings; Charlie Williams, Elgie Williams, Jr., Janie Thomas, Bereatha Williams, and Rosie Harris.

She is survived by her children; Marilyn (Roosevelt) Smith of Pearland TX, Amanda Williams of West Helena AR, Nathaniel (Melissa) Bailey, Jr. of Fayetteville NC, Ron Bailey of Atlanta GA, two sisters; Ella Terry of Austin TX, Zemolia Williams of Little Rock AR, twenty-one grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
