Myrtle Haywood Robbins affectionately known as “Peg” was born November 15, 1931, in Marianna, Arkansas to the late Cleophas and Charlie Aaron Haywood.

At an early age, she professed her hope in Christ and was baptized at the Paradise No. 2 Missionary Baptist Church in Rondo, Arkansas where she was a faithful member until her transition.

Peg was united in holy matrimony to Wardell Robbins, Sr. and to this union six children were born.  Wardell and Peg both spent many years, as active members of Paradise No. 2 MB Church.

In her leisure time she enjoyed cooking, fishing, gardening, spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and family.  Peg and her baby sister Roberta had one thing in common… both were the family disciplinarians.  If you got in trouble around her, she had no problem with laying those hands on you.  It was known by her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family members not to play with Peg.  She had an absolute love for Southern cooking many would crave a good old butter roll, pecan pie, chow chow and her homemade ice cream.

On Tuesday, November 1, 2022, Peg departed this earthly life and took her rest with the Lord.

Peg was preceded in death by her husband, Wardell Robbins, Sr., her parents, as well as her siblings.

To cherish her precious memories, Peg leaves her four daughters; Inez Haney of North Little Rock AR, Victoria Perry of Rondo  AR, Cynthia (Reginald) Wilson of Helena  AR, Annette (Torrey) Wynne of Jacksonville AR, two sons; Wardell Robbins, Jr., Sylvester Robbins, Sr. both of Rondo AR, one brother; CA (Jean) Haywood of Brinkley AR, three sisters; Emma Jean Brown of Garfield NJ, Cleoma Adams, Ruby Lee Woods both of St. Louis MO, one brother-in-law; Ben O. Chandler of St. Louis MO, three sisters-in-law; Joan Prater, Delphine Thomas, Verna Martin all of St. Louis MO, fourteen grandchildren; Tracy (Fredrick), Laketia, Alrick, CaSandra, Connie (Jeremy), Daniel, Tenekia, Angela (Ernest), Sylvester Jr., Sylvia (Kalvin), Ashley, Jada, Delvante, Tyree, twenty-nine great- grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, a special niece; Rozchell McClain, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
