Visitation will be held Saturday, September 17, 2022 at New Haven Missionary Baptist Church, 404 West Street, West Helena Arkansas from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. Funeral service will promptly be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at New Haven Missionary Baptist Church, West Helena Arkansas. Interment will follow immediately at Jackson Memorial Cemetery, Lexa Arkansas. We will follow CDC guidelines:  mask, hand sanitizer, and the social distance standard of 6ft apart.

Aubrey “June” (A.G.) Gene Garner, Jr.  was born August 9th, 1956 to the late Aubrey (A.G.) and Mary Garner, Sr. in West Helena, Arkansas. Aubrey departed this earthly life on September 4th, 2022 in Memphis Tennessee.

Aubrey accepted Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized at First Missionary Baptist Church, West Helena Arkansas under the leadership of Reverend H.Y. Ward. He later united with New Haven Missionary Baptist Church, West Helena Arkansas, under the leadership of his cousin, Pastor Rodney Corbin where he remained faithful until his demise.

Aubrey received his formal education within the Helena – West Helena School District, graduating from Central High School, West Helena Arkansas.

Being spoiled as the baby boy, “June,” as he was affectionately known as, was very outspoken and didn’t mind saying what was on his mind. He loved to play Chess and was great at it. He was a stylish dresser.  He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

June was a dedicated worker. He was a forklift operator for over 40 years. At his time of death, he was employed at United Initiators.

June never married his soulmate but he was blessed with four wonderful children: Aubrey (Shirley) Garner, lll of West Helena Arkansas, Michael (Ladonna) Garner, Adrian Garner both of Jonesboro Arkansas.

June is preceded in death by his parents; Aubrey and Mary Garner, Sr., two sisters; Lessie Lilo, Linda Campbell, and a son; Courtney Morgan.

June leaves to cherish his memories his children named above, one fur baby; Fat Boy, three sisters; Charlene Hicks of Bolingbrook IL, Deloris Banks, Shirley Mills both of Milwaukee WI, two aunts; Louise Gilcrest of Chicago IL, Vivian Brown of West Helena AR and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
