District Center, Helena Arkansas from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, July 2, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at P.L.M. & D. District Center, Helena Arkansas. Interment will follow immediately at Jackson Memorial Cemetery, Lexa Arkansas. We will follow CDC guidelines:  mask, hand sanitizer, and the social distance standard of 6ft apart. Reverend Earnest Womack, Jr. was born November 15, 1966 to Cora Lee Bullocks and Earnest Womack, Sr. in Helena, Arkansas.  He was the first born of five children.

Earnest was united in Holy Matrimony to the LOVE of His LIFE, Marvie McGinister Womack, on February 18, 1994 and to this union blended three young men, Webster Johnson, Marvin and James Womack.

Reverend Womack accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior at an early age at the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Reverend W. L. Debro, Sr. He remained a faithful member under the leadership of Reverend Amos Newell, Jr. Earnest was ordained as a Deacon on February 21, 1999 and served for several years. Earnest then received his calling to lead God’s people.  On August 29, 2004 he preached his first sermon; Topic: “God Put it in Me.” Afterwards, he was ordained and received a Certificate of License to preach. Later he became the Associate Pastor of the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. He began his Pastorship on February 16, 2014 at the Tucker Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where he had been pastoring going on 9 years. He was a member of the Phillips County Ministerial Alliance where he served as Vice President and Sunday School Lecturer.

Reverend Womack was a Proud Graduate of the Central High School Class Of 1985. In May of 1995, he received an Associate Degree in Arc Welding with honors. He also received 5th Black Belt in Tae-kwon-Do from Phillips Community College University of Arkansas. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Education/Theology (Class Valedictorian) from The Good Shepherd Theological Seminary and Bible College in Rodessa, Louisiana. Other studies: Ouachita Baptist University, Arkadelphia Arkansas, Institute of Continuing Theological Education of Making it Plain Ministries, Memphis Tennessee, Sunday School Publishing Board of National Baptist Convention, USA. Inc., Arkansas Baptist College and the American Red Cross in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Reverend Womack was employed at The City of Helena West Helena Sanitation Department as Street Deputy Director. He had been employed with the City for over 41 years. He started his employment as a lifeguard at the Helena Pool at the age of 14 and later became the Pool Supervisor until now. He was a Certified Lifeguard and CPR Trainer. He was the Co-Owner and Operator of Bullocks Café for over 18 years.

Reverend Womack Masonic Affiliations are as follows: A 33rd Degree Mason, Prince Hall Grand Lodge (Alpha Lodge #233) where he serves as Worshipful Master, Royal Grand Chapter Order of The Eastern Star, PHA (Evening Star #374), Most Excellent Grand Chapter of Holy Royal Arch Masons of Arkansas, Past Grand High Priest (Majestic #5), Arkansas Grand Court Heroines of Jericho (Majestic #13), Royal & Select Masters (David Anderson Council #3), Knights Templar, Council of Deliberation Scottish Rite (EU Reed Consistory #258) and Shrine Sphinx Temple #25 (Past Potentate).

He was a member of the NAACP.

One would often say that Reverend Womack had GREAT expectations. His main goal was to live life to it’s fullest by: traveling the world, spending time with his family and friends, cooking and feeding the community, providing for his family, helping everyone he could, watching the Discovery Channel, opening the pool every summer and Preaching the word of God! PS: going to the Dallas Cowboy’s Game with the guys every year! Other Hobbies: hunting, fishing, listening to music, singing, playing the piano, reading and studying his bible.

The Lord called Reverend Womack from labor to rewards on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at the Helena Regional Medical Center in Helena-West Helena, Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by his father; Earnest Womack, Sr., mother; Cora Lee Bullocks; grandfathers: James Bullocks, Jessie Womack, Jr., grandmothers; Coreene Milton, Carolin Williams Womack, Brother; Johnny Lee Williams, aunts; Elsie Jean Pitts, Frances Beale, Annie Lawrence Womack, uncles; R.C. Barclay, Cloetha Barclay, Herman Sykes, Eugene Womack, Jessie Womack, Jr., Grenada Womack, sisters- in-Law; Phyllis Diane Stanley, Lydia McGinister, and brother-in-Law; Royal Lee Stanley, Sr.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories his beloved wife of 38 years; Marvie “Cherry” McGinister Womack, three sons; Webster (Shomiko) Johnson of Jacksonville AR, Marvin Womack of Helena-West Helena AR, James (Stephanie) Womack of Holland MI,, two grandchildren; Nichelle Womack, Xavier Johnson, four brothers; Ricky (Shonna) Womack of Helena-West Helena AR, Patrick Rodgers of Detroit MI, Gene (Dana) McGinister of Tupelo MS, Rodrick (Aroneysa) Harris of Conyers GA, eight sisters; Janice (Antonio) Roddy, Chrissy (Niland) Parnell, Angela (Fred) Bullocks, Cherly McGinister, Wanda Crockett all of Helena-West Helena AR, Kendra Allison, Angelica Brown both of Dallas TX, Angela McGinister-Buford of Chicago IL, sister-in-law; Geneva Stanley, three aunts;  Jamesella Bullocks of Memphis TN, Legirtha Womack of Helena-West Helena AR, Cordelia Lee of Little Rock AR, special cousin/aunt; Mattie Towns of Helena-West Helena AR, special cousins; Annie Blue of Helena-West Helena AR, Patricia and Harold Taylor of Lawrence GA, Dorothy and Mack Williams of Morris MI, nieces and nephews who he helped raise; Markell “M.
