Visitation will be held Friday, January 28, 2022 at Silver Cloud Missionary Baptist Church, 206 Riverview Street, Helena Arkansas from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 29,2022 at Upper Room Pentecostal Church of God in Christ, 1736 Hwy 49, West Helena Arkansas 2022 at 2:00 p.m. We will follow CDC guidelines:  mask, hand sanitizer, and the social distance standard of 6ft apart.

Ella Mae Arrington was born January 10, 1955 in Dundee, Mississippi. She was the third of four children to the late Steve and Lillie Arrington.  She was baptized at an early age at Friendship Baptist Church, Marks Mississippi. She later moved to Helena, Arkansas at the age of twelve in 1967.

Ella graduated in 1974 from Central High School, Helena – West Helena Arkansas. She worked many years at Helena Sportswear, West Helena Arkansas and Pillow Tech in Tunica, Mississippi. In 1995, she began working at Sam’s Town Casino in Tunica, Mississippi. She remained there until her retirement in 2020.  During that time, she gained friends whom she loved dearly. After retiring, she relocated to Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Ella transitioned from this earthly life Sunday, January 23, 2022 surrounded by her loving family in West Helena, Arkansas.

Those who are commending her loving spirit into the assurance of her eternal rest are the loved ones who preceded her in death, her parents; Steve and Lille Arrington, grandmother; Elisha Jones and one sister; Delois Thomas.

Ella leaves to cherish her precious memories three children; Curtis Harris, Demorreo (Angel) Thompson, Katarina Arrington, thirteen grandchildren; Travolis (Joy), Tavaris, Tyrun, Kylin, Brandon, Knikyla, Demaree. Kacey, Zakahri, Dallas, ZaMahri, Dakota, Baby Denver Ella, nine great grandchildren; Zayden, Jada, Jayden, Cynterric, Draya, Kylin Jr., Aliyah, Taylin, Tyrun, Jr., two sisters; Rosie (James) Staten, Lillie (Craig) Johnson, one aunt; Mary Mitchell, eight nephews and nieces; Darron (Elandria), Lois, Ulinda, Teresa, George, Walter, Loletha, Jamie, one special daughter; Anita Washington, close cousins; Mozella, Leigh, Annie, Nona, Shelia, dear friends; Sadie Barnes, Barbara Smith, Sarah Gardner and a host of other relatives and friends.
