Obituary
Thomas Wainwright, Jr. was born November 26, 1936 to the late Thomas and Ethel Wainwright, Sr. in Holly Grove, Arkansas. He departed this earthly life January 17, 2020 in the comforts of his own home, surrounded by his devoted wife and loving family.
Thomas relocated to Detroit, Michigan at the age of seventeen. He resided a few years in Detroit before moving to Marks, Mississippi. There he met Emmie Lee Lewis. September 17, 1960 Thomas and Emmie united in Holy Matrimony. To this union eight children were born. They later moved to West Helena, Arkansas.
Throughout the years he has assisted many neighbors and friends with travel, lawn service, upholstery, and various acts of kindness.
Thomas is preceded in death by his parents, three siblings; Walter, Paul, Elizabeth and a son; Dennis.
Thomas leaves to cherish his memories a loving wife of sixty years; Emmie Lee Wainwright, seven children; Patricia (Theophus) Lacey, Anthony (Patricia) Wainwright, Darlean Wainwright, Dale Wainwright, Martin Wainwright, Gerry Wainwright, Michelle (Dion) Lewis, nine siblings; Fayrene, Anne, Louise, Lola, Jeanette, Iona, Victor, Johnell, Richard, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers-in-laws, sisters-in-laws, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
