Obituary

Robert Edward Clash, Sr. was born on April 4, 1957, in Ratio, Arkansas to the late Willie Clash, Sr. and Mercie Clash. He developed a relationship with Christ at an early age. He was baptized in Ratio at Gumwood Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend P.L. Perkins. Later in his adult life he became a member of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, in Elaine, Arkansas under the leadership of the late Reverend S.L. George, currently under the leadership of Pastor Desi Sims. Robert loved his church family and fellowshipping with them. He enjoyed serving in his role on the Usher board and delighted in the interesting Sunday School lessons/conversations that he studied days in advance for. Robert was known by family and friends to be a very kind, loyal, and dependable man; always willing to help anyone he could. He was a man of the utmost character and integrity. Growing up the oldest of eight siblings, he has always been responsible and led by example. He attended school in the Elaine Public School System where he was a graduate of the Class of 1976. He was no stranger to hard work. He previously held positions of employment at Helena Chemical, Riceland Foods, and Quincy Soybean. His hobbies included hunting and fishing which he enjoyed until his health began to decline. Robert departed this life on February 18, 2024.
