A LIFE REMEMBERED

Obituary

Larry Edwards was born December 10, 1952 in Helena, Arkansas to the late Elnora Edwards. He transitioned from this earthly life to receive his heavenly reward February 21, 2024. Larry accepted Christ at an early age and often shared his ministry with his action figures or on any given opportunity to speak on the greatness of our Lord and Savior. He was a faithful member of Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Helena Arkansas and the pastor of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, Helena Arkansas. He was not committed to just any one church, but he actively fellowshipped with many churches in the surrounding area and beyond. He had a passion for music, and he loved sharing his musical talents. Larry served in various capacities within the church, first being a minister, a musician, an usher, a deacon, a choir member, and a choir director just to name a few. Larry is preceded in death by his mother; Elnora Edwards, two sisters; Olivia Edwards, Lenna Edwards, three brothers; Roosevelt Ervin, Joe Will Suggs, and Alvey Edwards. Larry leaves to cherish his loving memory a brother; Asey Edwards, two special nephews; Charrell Dixon, Anthony Edwards, a special niece; Sade` Slack, and a host of relatives, extended family, and friends.
REMEMBERING TOGETHER

Memories & condolences

When I first met Rev. Edwards, the first thing I noticed was his contagious smile. We walked in the same direction to get home from school. In church he worked tirelessly in whatever capacity needed. Over the years Rev. Edwards has stood by my side during the loss of my parents, two siblings, niece and nephew. When something happens, he always there and took the time. What a true and dear friend. I always enjoyed our visits when I would come to Helena. Larry will be missed. Helena has lost a gem that no one can duplicate. Condolences to the family and friends. RIP, your work here is done. Til we meet again.
