A LIFE REMEMBERED

Obituary

Each day we praise the Lord for the many blessings, some often untold. More this day we thank him once more for sharing a life, one that will not be forgotten. On March 30, 1951, God blessed this earth and sent a disciple to help spread His word. The Elder Dr. Billy Gene Williams was born to the late C. L. and Mable White Williams in San Bernardino, California. He was the second of four children. He gave his life to God at an early age and was licensed to preach at the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Riverside, California in 1975. Elder Williams was raised in San Bernardino, California where he received his formative education at Riverside Community High School. He furthered his education at various colleges/universities, receiving various degrees/certificates. He attended Reed Christian College where he received an Honorary Doctor of Divinity, Liberty Bible Institute, an Honorary Doctor of Letter from St. Stephens University in Los Angles, California, Certificate from Lacy Kirk Williams Ministries Institute, Inc. in Dallas, Texas, School of Paralegal Studies, in which he became a Veteran Affairs Accredited Claims Agent for the Department of Veteran Affairs, and lastly, he was a recording artist on Stacks Rock Label. Elder Williams served his country proudly in United States Army. He received an Honorable Discharge upon his exit from the military. Even though Pastor Billy Williams had the credentials of Reverend Dr. Billy Williams, he chose to use the Biblical Title of “Elder.” He believed this title was more in keeping with Christ’s Mission and Pastoral Call of serving humanity. Elder Williams served as Pastor of True Love Baptist Church in Ridgecrest California, New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Sparks Nevada, Pleasant Green Missionary Baptist Church in Crossett Arkansas, his finial journal was with New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Helena, Arkansas for twenty-five years until God called his Name. In the year of 1981, he married his love Felmer “Jeannie” Wiley Baker. Those left to celebrate his life and precious memories are his wife; Felmer Williams, sons; Lamar Williams, Christian Williams, Jonathan Williams, step sons; Jimmy (Daniell) Baker, Sean (Tracy) Baker, one daughter; Kimberly Baker, one niece; Tosha Williams, mother-in-law; Irma Wiley, twenty-one grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, three brothers-in-law, seven sisters-in-law, and the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church family, Deacon Charlie Mooney. Elder Williams is preceded in death by his parents; C. L. and Mable Williams, his stepmother, two brothers; Charles Williams, Raymond Williams, and a sister; Betty Williams.
REMEMBERING TOGETHER

Memories & condolences

My most heartfelt sympathy on the passing of Uncle Billy. Aunt Jean, you and your children (grands included) are all in my thoughts and prayers. May the good Lord comfort, strengthen and continue to bless you all. ??????

Dear Uncle Billy, I am your sister, Betty Williams, only child. You are my Uncle since I was born. Yet, when you transitioned I promised to always be there for your family and I will as long as I have breath in my body. Rest in and rest easy. Your niece, LaTasha Ursin ????
