A LIFE REMEMBERED

Obituary

She was Born: Corlunda Syimesha McGinister was born November 19, 2001 to Cortez McGinister, Sr. and Jolunda Johnson at Helena Regional Medical Center, Helena Arkansas. She Lived: Corlunda lived a loving and fun life. She loved her family and friends. She was a proud member of Central High School graduating Class of 2020. Corlunda was a beautiful, smart, and outgoing young lady. Her life will forever be cherished. When she walked in a room you could not help but stare. She loved herself and was full of life, laughter, and love. She was an all-around kind of girl. To know her was to love her. She was no ordinary daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, cousin, or friend. She was our CoCo, or as she would say; “Chic!” She lived every day to the fullest with pride and dignity. Fearless, flawless, smart, energetic, and so dear to our hearts. She Served: Corlunda accepted Christ at an early age as her personal Savior and was baptized at True Vine Missionary Baptist Church, West Helena Arkansas under the leadership of Reverend Lonnie Whitfield. She dedicated her last days providing assistance as a Healthcare Representative for COVID 19 Vaccines. She took pride in her work. She Transitioned: Corlunda made her transition to be with the Heavenly Father December 21, 2022. She leaves to cherish her memories her loving father; Cortez McGinister, Sr., her graceful loving mother; Jolunda Johnson, her brothers; Cortez McGinister, Jr., Anthonious Vincent, Jaheim McGinister, Jakarrious McGinister, Zaylen McGinister, her sisters; Syimeika McGinister, Jade McGinister, her grandparents; Samuel James, Johnny Jackson, Joanne Haire, Cheryl McGinister, her great grandmother; Notie McGinister, her nephews; Kingston Williams, Jacobi Grant, and a host of special uncles, aunts, sisters, brothers, cousins, and friends.
