A LIFE REMEMBERED

Obituary

Mrs. Christine Smith was born on March 6, 1947, to the late Clifton Woodley and Pecolia Donaldson Woodley in Tunica, Mississippi. She confessed her hope in Christ at Mt. Zion in Tunica, Mississippi. Christine met and married the love of her life, Lugene Smith, and together they built a life filled with love and devotion. They later moved to West Helena, Arkansas, where she became a member of Allen Temple African Methodist Episcopal Church. She later served faithfully at St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church until her health no longer allowed her to do so. Christine was a woman of grace and kindness. She found joy in cooking and cherished time spent with her family and friends. She was devoted to her faith, spending countless hours reading her Bible and watching the Gospel Network. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband; Lugene Smith, her brothers; Cliff Woodley Jr., Jessie Woodley, Jimmy Woodley, her sisters; Buelah Mae Moore and Pearl Allen. She leaves to cherish her precious memories two devoted sons; Christopher (Durenia) Smith, Fredrick (Carvian Hoskins) Smith both of Helena-West Helena AR; three beloved grandchildren; Keyairra Smith, Keyunna Smith, Fredrick Smith all of Memphis TN, one loving sister; Dorothy Woodley of Kansas City MO, special nieces; Annie (Rodney) Hampton, Tarunda Williams, Daphne Newbern all of Memphis TN, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Christine’s love, wisdom, and unwavering faith will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
