Cheneka Jacquese Mccraney

Cheneka Jacquese McCraney was born October 21, 1991 to Latarsha Edmond and Dennis McCraney in Helena, Arkansas. She departed this earthly life September 15, 2023 at Helena Regional Medical Center, Helena Arkansas surrounded by her family. Cheneka accepted Christ as her personal Savior. She was a member of There is Hope Church, Pine Bluff Arkansas under the leadership of Superintendent Dr. Earl Glass. Cheneka received her formal education within the Helena – West Helena School District. She was a proud graduate of Central High School Class of 2011. She furthered her education at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, Pine Bluff Arkansas receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice. Cheneka’s pride and joy arrived February 15, 2016; her only child, Jaiden Jermaine Gable. Cheneka entered the workforce securing career paths with the Arkansas Department of Corrections, Brickeys Arkansas as a Corrections Officer and currently, Asset Protection Manager at Walmart, West Helena Arkansas. Cheneka is preceded in death by her grandfathers; Leroy McCraney, Charles Edmond, and her great grandmother; Daisy Mae Glass. Cheneka leaves to cherish her memories her son “the joy of her life;” Jaiden Jermine Gable of West Helena AR, her parents; Latarsha Edmond and Dennis McCraney both of West Helena AR, three sisters; Lakayla Holmes, Kuylar Holmes both of West Helena AR, Kyesha Lee of Jonesboro AR, one niece; McKenzie Thornton, one nephew; Kylin Lee, grandparents; Almetta Glass of Elaine AR, Josephine McCraney of Helena AR, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
