A LIFE REMEMBERED

Obituary

Armelia Eady Wilbon (Wilborn), daughter of the late Ed Eady, Jr. and Elizabeth Smith-Eady, was born on August 13, 1932 in Marvell, AR. She attended the public schools of Phillips County. At an early age she professed her faith in Jesus Christ at Old Mt. Everett Baptist Church. She later joined and served as a faithful member of First Baptist and Fountain Head Baptist Churches in Marvell. She attended Word Of Faith Cathedral in Atlanta. She was united in holy matrimony to the late Farris Wilbon in 1947, and this union was blessed with four children. She later spent more than 40 years with Leon Phillips until his death in 2009. Shortly after, Armelia moved to Atlanta with her daughter and stayed there until she moved on up higher to her heavenly home. Ms. Pig, Aunt Pig, Gramma Pig or Mom Pig, as she was so lovingly called, was a beautiful spirit loved by all. Her life lessons will forever remain in our hearts. She ministered scripture to all and faithfully reminded us that “there is nothing new under the sun.” Her faith in GOD leaves a legacy that will always be remembered. She quietly departed this life on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at her home. Armelia’s beautiful life will forever be cherished by her children: Bernice Jackson of Philadelphia, PA, James ”Noot” (Verlene) Wilborn of Cordova, TN , Blenda “Clat” DeBerry of Smyrna, GA; daughter in-law: Patricia “Pat” Wilborn of Phoenix, AZ; Stepson: Eric(Vicki) Wilbon of Atlanta, GA; siblings: Elzie Eady of Helena, AR and Martha Tolbert of Kansas City, MO; sister in-laws: Ossie Robinson of Marvell,AR, Maxine Hendrix and Christine (Shedrick) Smith of Poplar Grove, AR, Cassie McNeely of Chicago, IL and Alma Rollie of Kansas City, MO; eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, thirteen greatgreat-grandchildren and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
