Visitation will be held Friday, February 28, 2020 at Jackson – Highley Funeral Home Chapel, West Helena AR from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, February 29, 2020 at the P.M.L. and D. District Center, Helena Crossing, Helena AR at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow immediately at Jackson Memorial Cemetery, Lexa AR.
Angela Renee Calhoun Larry was born December 31, 1972 to her parents Priscilla Calhoun – Dockery and Thomas Joe Hunter, Sr. in Helena, Arkansas. She departed this earthly life February 19, 2020 at Baptist Health, Little Rock Arkansas surrounded by her loving family.
At an early age, Angela accepted Christ as her personal Savior. She united with Southern Baptist Church, Indianapolis, Indiana under the leadership of Reverend Walker. She later relocated back to Arkansas where she visited various churches.
Angela received her formal education within the Helena-West Helena School District. She was a proud graduate of the 1992 Class of Central High School, West Helena Arkansas. She went on to achieve certification as a Certified Nursing Assistance. Her career path consisted of Housekeeping Supervisor at Crestpark Retirement Inn, Helena Arkansas; Conway Healthcare and Rehabilitation, Conway Arkansas.
Angela was united in Holy Matrimony to Cory Kintae Larry, Sr. for twenty-one years. To this union two children were born.
Angela is preceded in death by her daughter; Angela Nicole Larry, maternal grandmother; Jessie Mae Greer, paternal grandmother; Mary Hunter, brother; Derrick Greer, uncle; Sylvester Williams, aunt; Rebecca Hunter, and grandmother-in-law; Ora Lee Larry.
Angela leaves to cherish her memories a devoted husband; Cory Larry, Sr., two loving children; Cory Kintae Larry, Jr., Thomas Hunter, III, parents; Priscilla (Robert) Calhoun – Dockery, Thomas Joe (Rebecca) Hunter, Sr., twelve brothers; Ervin (Felicia) Calhoun, Markelius (Jasmine) Calhoun, Denzel Calhoun, James (Jalesa) Lee, Thomas (Shadreka) Hunter, Johnathan (Sharee) Hunter, Tyler Hunter, David Hunter, Kortie Dockery, Kecedric Dockery, Julius (Sondra) Dockery, Darren (Nikia) Dockery, four sisters; Stephanie Calhoun, Lutasha (Charlie) Randle, Thomasa Hunter, Robin Dockery, eight uncles; Will Calhoun, John Greer, Julius Greer, Ivory Hunter, Jimmy Hunter, Elder McArthur Dismuke, Alfred Townsel, Clarence Townsel, three aunts; Maxine Calhoun, Mary Hunter, Diane Spiceson, father-in-law; Lawrence Larry, mother-in-law; Gwendolyn Larry, brother-in-law; Anthony Larry, sister-in-law; Felicia Larry, two special cousins; Tasheta Spiceson, Sylvier (Adrian) Roddy, three best friends; Ann (Russell) North Smith, Leslie Bates, Tamela Oneal, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and beloved friends.
