Arthur’s visitation will be held Friday, February 16, 2018 at Jackson – Highley Funeral Home Chapel, West Helena AR from 5-7 p.m. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Spring Lake Missionary Baptist Church, Southland Community AR at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow immediately at Spring Lake Memorial Cemetery, Southland Community AR.
Arthur Adams, Sr. was born on October 1, 1954 to Roberta Gause and Oscar Adams in Lexa “Southland Community,” Arkansas. He departed this Temporary Home Saturday, February 10, 2018 at home surrounded by love ones.
He attended the Helena – West Helena Public School. Upon completing his education, Arthur decided to move to Detroit, Michigan. He worked at the Weston – Moro Company for over 25 years. Arthur met and married the love of his life, the late Carol Little.
Arthur leaves to cherish his memory two sons: Chochon, Arthur, Jr., preceded in death: Keyon, one daughter: Kelly Taylor all of Detroit MI, his mother: Roberta Gause of Southland AR, five sisters: Carrie Martin of Lexa AR, Rosie M. Winston of Jonesboro AR, Celestine (Edmond) Sims of Marvell AR, Josephine Adams of Chicago IL, Shelia (Edwyn) Adams of Marianna AR, eleven brothers: Leon (Pauline) Mayweather of Charlotte NC, Edward (Phyllis) Adams of Memphis TN, Floyd (Helen) Adams of Marianna AR, Tommie (Juanita) Gause of Southland AR, Andrew (Gloria) Gause of Southland AR, John (Kimberly) Gause of Southland AR, Kelvin (Melissia) Adams of Marianna AR, Albert (Annette) Adams of Des Moines IA, Cleveland (Carla) Martin of Southland AR, Charles (Tracy) Martin of Marvell AR, Willie (Candance) Bell of Harvey IL, his stepmother: Mary Lee Adams of Marianna AR, a special friend: Barbara Jacobs of Lexa AR, nineteen grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
