Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at Jackson – Highley Funeral Home Chapel, West Helena Arkansas from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Funeral service will follow immediately at 11:00 a.m. at Jackson – Highley Funeral Home Chapel, West Helena Arkansas. Interment will follow immediately at Jackson Memorial Cemetery, Lexa Arkansas.
Alice Sessions Bragg was born in Yazoo County, Mississippi on August 4, 1914 to Richard and Elizabeth Sessions.
Alice accepted Christ at an early age and was a strong believer in her faith. She would always say, “Serve the Lord.” She was a faithful member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, Helena Arkansas until her health began to decline.
Alice was united in Holy Matrimony to the late David L. Braggs in 1935. To this union David Braggs, Jr. and the late Naomi Braggs Jackson were born.
Alice was giving the Key to the City of Helena – West Helena, Arkansas in recognition of her 100th birthday in 2014.
Alice lived a wonderful and full life. She had a kind, loving spirit and was loved by so many.
Alice departed this earthly life on October 30, 2019. She leaves to cherish her memories a son; David Bragg, Jr., five grandsons; David (Lolita) Braggs, III, Isaiah Burchett, Jr., Lloyd Burchett, James Nelson, Eric Jackson, two granddaughters; Jacqueline (Kenneth) Taylor, Kesha Braggs and a host of great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
