Visitation will be held Friday, January 11, 2019 at Jackson - Highley Funeral Home Chapel, West Helena, AR from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the Jackson - Highley Funeral Home Chapel, West Helena, Arkansas at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow immediately at Mount Moriah Cemetery, Marvell Arkansas.
Willie Mae Staples Steele Smith was born December 25, 1947 to Dan W. and Beatrice Staples. She departed this earthly life December 31, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Dan and Beatrice Staples, two sisters; Viola Staples of Memphis, Tennessee and Pinkie Young of Little Rock, Arkansas.
She leaves to cherish her memories two adorned children with Orin Steele; Jennifer Steele, Danny (Melinda) Steele, four sisters; Lillie (Wardell) Reed of West Helena AR, Mae Staples, Shirley Ann Staples both of Memphis TN, Kathleen (Dewayne) Dans of Hughes AR, six brothers; D.W Staples of Tacoma WA, Dossie Staples, Dan Staples, David Staples, Dale (Tonya) Staples all of Memphis TN, four grandchildren; Jenquetta Smith of Benton AR, James Vincent, II of Memphis TN, Danny Staples, Jr., Makenna Steele both of Hot Springs AR, two great grandchildren; Jada Smith of Little Rock AR, Arianna Vincent of IL her best friend; Lene Smith of Helena AR and a host of nephews nieces and friends.
