Angela Kay Dorsey was born in Helena Arkansas Hospital to Earnest and Irene Dorsey on August 29, 1960, along with twin brother named, Anthony Ray. Angela Kay was the surviving twin at birth.

To many she was affectionately known as “Angie Kay”.

She died peacefully at her home in North Little Rock, Arkansas on October 1, 2026.

Life Story

1 Chronicles 28:9 – “If you search for him, he will let himself be found by you.”

Angie Kay graduated from Central High School of Helena, Arkansas in 1978. Her mom and dad wanting to see her do well in life, asked one of her older sisters to “take her in till she can care for herself or get married”. On arriving in North Little Rock she continued her education at Pulaski Technical College. For a number of years, she worked at Riley’a Nursing Home of North Little Rock holding various positions. Her secular career then carried her to Baptist Hospital for the next 15 years as Unit Secretary until she fell sick and was no longer able to work.

Angie Kay’s greatest accomplishment however was studying the Bible and learning about Jehovah God where she found the words of 1 Chronicles 28:9 to be true, “If you search for him, he will let himself be found by you.”

This led to the beginning of a lifetime of faithful service first by being baptized on October 30, 1982 as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Russellville, Arkansas. Then she continued to serve faithfully throughout her years in many different avenues of service.

Were you one of those going along with her preaching from house-to-house, or on Zoom, witnessing through letters, or with her doing cart witnessing, or perhaps you were with her serving as a volunteer in building Kingdom Halls in the local area.

Yes, Angie Kay was an active member here at the Springhill Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in North Little even with her poor health until the time of her death.

Angie Kay was a lover of music, whether that was just listening to music, or singing and dancing, she enjoyed it all. Even in the latter days and waning hours of her life listening to the Kingdom Melodies and Original Songs were an absolute requirement.

Family and Friends

Ecclesiastes 7:1 – “A good name is better than good oil.”

Angie Kay would surely have been a millionaire if she wasn’t spending all her money on telephone bills trying to stay in touch with her family and friends, which is why she was beloved as a daughter, a sister, an aunt, and a good friend, living up to the words of Ecclesiastes 7:1 of having made “a good name.”

This is what a few close family members and friends of Angie Kay have said:

“She was a great friend and gave great advice when needed.”

“She was always so encouraging, uplifting, and funny.”

“She was zealous for the ministry.”

“She was one of the sweetest persons with a soft heart. She was easy to love.”

These are just a few expressions of many from those that will miss her dearly.

She is survived by:

Siblings: Earnest Dorsey, Jr. (Ella Mae) of Kansas City, MO, Lucille Baker of Helena, AR, and Alfreda (Cameron) Franklin of North Little Rock, AR, and Mildred “Lois” Dorsey of Memphis, TN.

Nieces and Nephews: Earnest III (Wyvonne) Dorsey, Dwayne Dorsey, Ezell Baker, Jr., Walt (Erin) Moore, Quinton (Candice) Moore, Andrea (Myris) Crawford, and Cedric Menendez.

Along with many other family members and friends who truly loved her.
