Rickey Doss was born November 24, 1957 to the late Willie D. and Mildred Carter Doss in Cotton Plant, Arkansas. He transitioned from his earthly presence to his eternal home June 19, 2026 in Jacksonville, Arkansas.

Rickey was taught and accepted Christian values. He was an adjunct member of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, Holly Grove Arkansas while he was visiting the area.

Rickey received his formal education within the Holly Grove School District. He graduated from Holly Grove High School with the Class of 1976. He had various employment opportunities throughout his life. He completed his work history at Remington Arms.

Rickey was an outdoorsman. Some of his favorite pastimes were: fishing, hunting, and gardening. He also loved to cook. He often seasoned his food with seasons he had made. Giving his eats a unique blend of tasty flavors.

Rickey is preceded in death by his parents, and a grandson; Bryceson McClinton.

Rickey leaves to cherish his children; Nakiel (Eric) Shields, Angela (Lawrence) Tyler, Jheren (Celis) Moore, siblings; Bobby (Rose) Doss, Billy (Patricia) Doss, Peggy Doss, Patricia (Ricky) Barkins, Marilyn Doss-Thrower, Betty Doss, Linda Lynn Smith, eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
