Visitation will be held Friday, June 26, 2026 at Jackson - Highley Funeral Home, West Helena AR from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 27, 2026 at Twin City Church of Christ, 1615 US 49, West Helena AR at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow immediately at Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Barton Arkansas.

Loretta Marie Brown Jackson was born October 19, 1943 to the late Lewis and Josephine Brown, Sr. in Helena, Arkansas. To this union, she was the first of twelve children. She transitioned from this earthly life receiving her heavenly reward June 11, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Loretta was raised in a Catholic community that guided her to a lifetime of charity and service. She later confessed a hope in Jesus Christ under the leadership of her son-in-law, the late Pastor Arysal Thompson at True Vine Apostolic Church in West Helena, Arkansas. Her Christian journey eventually led her to join God’s House Outreach Ministry under Elder Robert Davis. As a member, she served under his leadership until her demise.

In her early teenage years, she met and later married the late Curley Jackson, Sr. To this union eleven children were born.

Mrs. Loretta was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. An extraordinary Homemaker who absolutely loved to cook which was shown by the many many many gatherings that she held at her home. She was truly loved and well respected in this community. Her presence will undoubtedly be missed.

Mrs. Loretta is preceded in death by her parents, a son-in-law/pastor, one son; Terry Jackson, Sr., one grandson; Antonio Jackson, Sr., one great grandson; King Pollard, one great great grandson; Za’Myher Spencer, two sisters; Elizabeth Brown Davis, Shirley Brown, four brothers; Lewis Brown, Jr., Tyrone Brown, Clemon Brown, and Robert McShane.

Mrs. Loretta leaves to cherish ten children, five daughters; Josephine (Robert) Scott, Sr. of West Helena AR, Evangelist Linda (Pastor Jeremiah) Gibson of St. Louis MO, Barbara (Ronney) Jackson – Rogers of Memphis TN, Elizabeth (Lynn) Brewer of Omaha NE, Dimitress Jackson of Helena AR, five sons; Curley (Alice) Jackson, Jr. of New Bern NC, Enis (Pamela) Jackson of Memphis TN, Walter Jackson, Michael Jackson, Daniell Jackson, Sr. all of Helena AR, a special grandson; Macon Carter, Jr. whom she helped to raise as one of her own, three sisters; Lillian (Freddie) Green of Russellville AR, Marilyn Brown, Linda Brown both of Helena AR, two brothers; Roy Lee (Pearlie) Brown of St. Louis MO, Samuel Brown of Russellville AR, a bonus son; Greg Williams, a special daughter; Louise Jackson, a special son; Mark Crockett, Sr., a lifelong friend; Patty Jones and the entire Jones Family, twenty-two grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
