Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 13, 2026 at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, 21825 Highway 44, Elaine at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow immediately at Lambrook Cemetery, Lambrook Arkansas. Mr. Key's service may be viewed live through ZOOM.

Daniel Key, Jr. was born March 31, 1945 in Hughes, Arkansas to the late Daniel and Odell Key, Sr., he was their youngest child. He also had three brothers and one sister. He departed this earthly life receiving his heavenly reward June 4, 2026 in North Little Rock, Arkansas surrounded by his loving family.
Daniel was united in holy matrimony to the late Lorine Key. To this union four children were born.
Daniel accepted Christ as is Lord and Savior at an early age. He was a member of Brooks Chapel Missionary Baptist Church for many years.
Although he didn’t have a high school education, he stressed the importance of getting a higher education to his children. In his younger days, he loved raising and butchering hogs. He made one of the best homemade sausages around. He also enjoyed playing basketball on Sunday evenings, hunting and fishing.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents Daniel Key, Sr. and Odell Key, three brothers; Alton Key, Eddie Key, Elridge Key, and a son; Bobby Key.
Daniel is survived by three daughters; Patricia Key of Jonesboro AR, Barbara (Melvin) Eppenger of West Helena AR, Deabieyun Key of West Helena AR, a son; Tony (Kristina) Key of Omaha NE, a sister; Ruth Moore of Lincoln NE, a special nephew; Randy Hall of Washington DC, and a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
