Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 13, 2026 at Jackson - Highley Funeral Home, 126 Panama Road, West Helena Arkansas at 1:00 P.M. Interment will follow immediately at Jackson Memorial Cemetery, Lexa Arkansas.

Eddie Lee Hawkins was born November 22, 1959, to the late Andrew and Eula Mae Hawkins, Sr. in Helena, Arkansas. He departed this earthly life at Saint Francis Hospital, Memphis Tennessee.

Eddie accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age. He received his education within the Helena – West Helena School District, Helena- West Helena, Arkansas.

Eddie was an honest man with a kind spirit. He loved to play the blues, cook, watch sports and sip on his special drink. He worked hard at Budweiser for 20 plus years, where he later retired. He raised one stepdaughter, and two step grandchildren. He also had a strong influence amongst others.

Eddie was preceded in death by his parents; Andrew and Eula Mae Hawkins Sr., brothers; Robert Hawkins, and Alexander Hawkins.

Eddie leaves to cherish a spouse; Velma Jean Tate, step daughter; Sherelle Tate, step sons; Rodney Tate, Greg Tate, step grandchildren; Quawyshawn Tate, Tim’Ara Speed, step great grandchildren; Sevyn Tate, Aubrey Garner, V, brothers; Andrew Hawkins, Jr., Eugene Hawkins, John (Rita) Wesley Hawkins, Calvin Leon Hawkins, Larry Dunn, Andrew Dunn, Jr., Levan Thomas, sisters; Evvie Hawkins (Twin), Betty (James) Nelson, Erma Lee Hawkins, Earline Ishola, Annie Mae Rembert, Cora Mae Fields, Bobbie Banks, Willie Mae Williams, Eula Mae McKinney, Shirley Ann Dunn, Vera Thomas, Retha Jackson, two favorite cousins; Ann Smith, Cordell Walker, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
