Visitation will be held Friday, April 24, 2026 at Jackson - Highley Funeral Home Chapel, 126 Panama Road, West Helena Arkansas from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church, 125 North Coanza Street, West Helena Arkansas. Interment will follow immediately at Jackson Memorial Cemetery, Lexa Arkansas.

Sammie Lee Arnett, Jr. was born on April 21, 1974 to the late Sammie Arnett, Sr. and Snowella Bobo in Helena, Arkansas. He transitioned from this earthly life receiving his heavenly reward April 8, 2026 at St. Vincent Chi Hospital, Little Rock Arkansas surrounded by his loving family.

Sammie accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, Helena Arkansas under the leadership of the late of Reverend P.L. Perkins.

Sammie received his formal education within the Helena – West Helena School District. He was a proud graduate of Central High School Class of 1993. After graduation, he attended Coahoma Community College, Clarksdale Mississippi. There he played on the school’s football team.

Later, Sammie returned home from college. He began helping his father lay concrete. After awhile he decided to seek employment with Amerimax. He was a dedicated and devoted worker with a work history of twenty plus years earning him a supervisory position. He later joined United Initiators and was actively employed until his demise. He loved his job, life, and most importantly is family.

Sammie married the love of his life Stacy McShane Arnett on August 27, 2010. To this union four children were born and a family was blended.

Sammie, affectionately known as “Buggy” was a mentor to many young boys growing into young men. He spent countless hours coaching little league football and basketball. His sense of humor left a mark on those who were in his company. He definitely was the life of the party.

Sammie was a true testament to II Timothy 4:7 “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” For six years he fought with everything he had in him and never wavered in his faith or gave up on life.

Sammie is preceded in death by his father; Sammie Arnett, Sr., his mother; Snowella Bobo, sisters; Della Dew, Snowella Timms, Maryann Carter Watson, Sandra Arnett, and Martha Larose Carter.

Sammie leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted wife; Stacy Arnett, three daughters; LaShannon, LaShun both of Georgia, Denotra of Conway AR, four sons; Malik, Sammie, III, Ke’Shawn all of Conway AR, Aaron of Helena AR, one brother; Clarence Allen of West Helena AR, three sisters; Carol of North Carolina, Samantha of Phoenix AZ, Jacqueline of Minnesota, mother-in-law; Sandra Blue – Minor, four sisters-in-law; Reishunda (Eddie)Trancy, Celya (Lavell) Williams, Jennifer (Vic) Singh Ghotra, Andrea (Armondo) White, ten grandchildren; Ty’Zerrian, Ty’Zerria, Emmariyonnah, David, Cherishh, Amiyah, Corinthian, Carson, Journei, Maddox, and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
