Visitation will be held Saturday, January 5, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church, Helena Arkansas. Funeral Service will follow immediately at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church, Helena Arkansas. Interment will be held at New Zion Cemetery, West Helena Arkansas
Evelyn “Eveline” Walker was born to Mr. Charlie and Sally Walker on May 9, 1942 in Phillips County, Arkansas.
Evelyn was received back into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father on December 19, 2018. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, eight (8) siblings and several nephews and nieces.
Evelyn accepted Christ at an early age at First Baptist Church of Midland Heights in Helena, Arkansas. Evelyn was blessed with only one (1) child whom she loved dearly. She found work throughout her community as a caregiver to many families until she retired in the mid 2000’s. Evelyn joined Mt. Tabor Baptist Church in Helena, Arkansas while there she was a faithful member and she served on the usher board until her health failed.
Evelyn leaves to cherish her memory one (1) son Terry (Scherry) Walker of Helena – West Helena AR, three (3) step-grandchildren; Sarah Peoples of Memphis TN, Brianna Peoples of Little Rock AR, Nathaniel Banks of Helena – West Helena AR, one (1) sister; Veola Cunningham, two (2) brothers; Peter and Walter Walker all of Helena – West Helena AR, and a host of nephews, nieces, other close family and friends.
