Visitation will be held Friday, June 15, 2018 at Jackson – Highley Funeral Home Chapel, West Helena AR from 4-7 p.m. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, June 16, 2018 at the P.L.M. & D. District Center, Helena AR at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow immediately at First Baptist Church Cemetery, Elaine AR. Jackson – Highley Funeral Home are in charge of the services.
Arvester Brown was born November 2, 1956 to the late Isiah and Ollie Lee Brown in Lambrook, Arkansas. He departed this earthly life June 6, 2018 at Baptist Health Medical Center, Little Rock Arkansas.
Arvester confessed a hope in Christ at an early age. He joined Brooks Chapel Church, Lambrook Arkansas.
Arvester attended and graduated from Elaine High School in 1975. While in high school, he played football. Arvester continued to play football at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. He graduated from Henderson State University in 1980. After graduation, he returned to this area and was hired as an assistant football coach for the Helena – West Helena School District. Throughout the years, Coach Brown has been a mentor to many students by providing encouragement to be the best that they could be.
Arvester was preceded in death by his parents, wife; Diane Brown, and brother.
Arvester leaves to cherish his memories two brothers; Marcellious (Helen) Brown of Chicago IL, Roy Lee Brown of Bellwood IL, two sisters; Mary Ester Brown of Elaine AR, Rosemary Brown of Helena AR and a host of relatives, friends, former students, co-workers, and administrators. We will always love our baby.
