Visitation will be held Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Phillips, Lee, Monroe, and Desha District Center, Helena Crossing, Helena Arkansas from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Funeral Service will promptly begin at 11:00 a.m. at Phillips, Lee, Monroe, and Desha District Center, Helena Crossing, Helena Arkansas. Interment will follow immediately at Morning Star Cemetery, Elaine Arkansas. Mrs. Key's service may be viewed live through ZOOM.

Lorine Key was born January 7, 1945 in Elaine, Arkansas. She was the oldest of eleven children. Lorine accepted Christ at an early age. Although she did not complete her education, she emphasized the importance of education to her children and grandchildren. She married Daniel Key, Jr. and to this union four children were born. Lorine was employed at the Elaine School District as a Custodian until her health failed. She served as a motherly figure to all students on the elementary campus. Those morning hugs could brighten anyone’s day. Lorine was an active member of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church serving in various capacities including Kitchen Committee Chairperson and lastly, a Mother of the Church. She enjoyed hosting family gatherings because she loved her family fellowshipping together. She will be greatly missed from all future family events.
Lorine is preceded in death by her parents; Arthur, Sr. and Lizzie Gordon, her son; Bobby Key, two grandchildren; NeKeya Magsby, Kennedy Magsby, one great grandchild; Rico Donner, Jr., two sisters; Lillian O’neal, Sandra Carlton, and one brother; Arthur Gordon, Jr.
She is survived by three sons; Calvin (Scedra) Magsby of Little Rock AR, Jerry (Patricia) House of North Little Rock AR, Tony (Christina) Key of Omaha NE, two daughters; Patricia Key of Jonesboro AR, Barbara (Melvin) Eppenger of West Helena AR, four sisters; Corine Richardson, Cora Mae (Freddie) Johnson both of West Helena AR, Jerlester Ross of Marvell AR, Dorothy Chandler of Hephzibah GA, three brothers, Nathaniel Martin of North Little Rock AR, Freddie Gordon of Lambrook AR, Curtis Gordon of Bryant AR, two sisters-in-laws; Pearl Gordon of Little Rock AR, Debra Gordon of Lexa AR, a great number of grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends that will miss her dearly.
