Visitation will be held Friday, February 6, 2026 at Jackson - Highley Funeral Home, 126 Panama Road, West Helena Arkansas from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Greater Saint Marys Restoration (St. Marys #1), 5298 US 49, Lexa Arkansas at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow immediately at Jackson Memorial Cemetery, Lexa Arkansas.
Rufus James Trammell a beloved father, transitioned on January 18, 2026 at the age of 62 at his home. He was born October 10, 1962 to the late Ruthie May Trammell in Helena, Arkansas. He lived a life marked by love, resilience, and devotion to his family.
Rufus was a devoted father whose presence, guidance, and unwavering support shaped the lives of those who knew him. He was known for his kindness, quiet strength, and sense of humor. He loved to listen to music and skate.
Rufus is preceded in death by his mother; Ruthie May.
Rufus leaves to cherish his memories his children; Vonkendra Murrel, Ricky Trammell, Jasmine Papa, also an additional son, siblings; Jimmy White, Carl Little, two sisters; the mothers of his children; Sharon Johnson, Mavis Perkins, five grandchildren, and host of family members and friends.
