Born in Clarksdale, Mississippi, Christine Walker was welcomed into this world on July 22nd, 1954. God entrusted her to the care of Emmer Lee Watson and Wilson Walker as the second of four children. Shortly after her birth her family moved to Elaine, Arkansas where she resided for most of her young adult life before moving to Little Rock, Arkansas. Christine began her walk with the Lord at a tender age of 12 years old. She continued that walk while raising five children with grit, grace, and unwavering determination.

She was honored by her children, who knew her not only as a mother, but as a guide, protector, teacher, prayer warrior, and amazing chef. She poured wisdom into them, modeled resilience through life’s challenges, and loved them with a depth that could only come from a God-fearing heart.  Because of her faith we know that she has exchanged earthly burdens for heavenly rest.

She departed this life on January 9th, 2026, at 12:26 pm at UAMS Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas surrounded by family and those that adored her. Christine Walker was beloved by so many and cherished by everyone who encountered her and was respected in her community.  She leaves behind a legacy of joy, kindness, laughter, and deeply committed love. A living example of grace, compassion, and service.

A woman of faith and quiet strength, Christine Walker leaves behind five children to honor her memory. Steve Jackson of Memphis, TN, Kelvin (Shronda) Brown of Memphis, TN, Rodney (Chatuea) Walker of Knoxville, TN, Marquita Walker, and Reggie Walker, both of Little Rock, AR. 1 sister Willie Mae Hurt of Helena, AR, 3 nieces, 22 grandchildren, and a host of cousins, friends both lifelong and recently encountered who treasured her.

The family greatly acknowledges the prayers, love, and overwhelming outpouring of support that has been extended during this incredibly difficult time.
