Visitation will be held Saturday, September 6, 2025 at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, Elaine Arkansas from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Funeral Service will promptly begin at 11:00 a.m. at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, Elaine Arkansas. Interment will follow immediately at Morning Star Cemetery, Elaine Arkansas.
Louise Kelly Thomas was born April 19, 1948 to Lela M. Lewis and John Kelly, Sr. in Poplar Grove, Arkansas. She gained her wings August 26, 2025 surrounded by her loving family in Forrest City, Arkansas.
Louise confessed a hope in Christ at an early age. She later joined Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, Elaine Arkansas where she remained faithful until her death.
Louise received her formal education within the Lakeview School District. Although she did not complete the educational requirements to receive a high school diploma, later in life she did complete the requirements to receive a General Education Degree (GED).
Louise’s career path started prior to graduating from high school. She eventually journeyed into the healthcare industry securing a position with East Arkansas Area Agency on Aging for countless years. She later lent her child rearing experience to the Phillips Community Development Center assisting with the children until her retirement.
Louise is preceded in death by her husband; Thomas C. Thomas, mother; Lela M. Lewis, father; John Kelly, Sr., siblings; William Kelly, M.C. Parnell, Johnny Parnell, Terry Parnell, sons; Clint R. Thomas, Otis K. Thomas, and Roger D. Thomas.
Louise is survived by her sons; Jerry (Debra) Hayfort, Sr. of Milwaukee WI, Norman Thomas of Lakeview AR, daughters; Tina (Theaurty) Thomas of Lakeview AR, Trina (Jean) Borgella of Avon IN, sisters; Rosie Donald of Helena AR, Johnnie Mae Bell of West Memphis AR, brothers; Henry (Joyce) Kelly of Lakeview AR, John Kelly, Jr. of St. Louis MO, Horace Parnell, Roosevelt Parnell both of Chicago IL, Nazareth (Brenda) Mitchell of Lexa AR, special granddaughters; Kenosha (Paron) Tye, Conway AR, Markeeta Hayfort of Little Rock AR, special grandson; Kenvadus Thomas of Jonesboro AR, special sister; Loretta Diane Mitchell of Little Rock AR, special sons; Tyrone Davis of Lagrange AR, Greain Thomas of Little Rock AR, and a host of grands, great grands, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
