Visitation will be held Thursday, July 31, 2025 at Jackson - Highley Funeral Home Chapel, West Helena Arkansas from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held August 1, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Phillips, Lee, Monroe, and Desha District Center, Helena Crossing, Helena Arkansas. Interment will follow immediately at Jackson Memorial Cemetery, Lexa AR.

With heavy hearts and profound love, we celebrate the life of Sidney Roberson, affectionately known by all who loved him as “Sidney Boo.” Sidney was born on July 12, 1974, in Helena, Arkansas to Rosetta Roberson and from the very beginning, he brought joy and light to everyone he encountered.

Sidney was baptized at an early age at True Vine Missionary Baptist Church, West Helena Arkansas under the leadership of Reverend G.G. Brown, beginning a lifelong journey of faith. He was a proud student of Central High School in West Helena, Arkansas where he excelled as both a football player and track athlete, showcasing not only talent but a deep dedication to teamwork and perseverance.

A hardworking man, Sidney was employed with Hollowell Industries, where he was known for his strong work ethic, easygoing nature, and constant smile. Sidney never met a stranger. His warmth, laughter, and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone he met. His presence could light up any room, and his generous heart knew no bounds.

Sidney is preceded in death by his beloved brother; Darrick Roberson.

Sidney leaves behind a legacy of love and strength, cherished by his devoted parents; Rosetta Roberson and Orish Corbin of West Helena AR, his tow beloved sons; Tavoris Avance of Little Rock AR, Jay’den Roberson of West Helena AR, one daughter; Ciara Roberson of West Helena AR, two brothers; Rickey Renard Roberson of Kenosha WI, Leon (Tanya Gould) Roberson, Sr. of West Helena AR, three sisters; Thressa Thelman, Angela Moore both of West Helena AR, Willie Mae (David Tate, Sr.) Roberson of Fayetteville AR.

Sidney also leaves behind five grandchildren, who were the joy of later years and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, co-workers, and friends all of whom were touched by his compassion, humor, and unwavering love.

Sidney lived a life full of laughter, generosity, and genuine connection. Though our hearts are heavy with his passing, we find comfort in knowing he is now resting peacefully. His memory will forever live on in the stories, smiles, and spirits of those who knew and loved him.
