Martha Ann Stewart, age 46, was born to Junior and Lillie Stewart at Helena Regional Hospital in Helena, Arkansas. A proud graduate of Central High School, she furthered her education at Phillips County Community College, pursuing general studies and laying the foundation for a life filled with resilience and growth.

She later relocated to Memphis, Tennessee, where she wore many hats professionally—including serving as a security guard—and carried a hardworking spirit wherever she went. It was in Memphis where her spiritual journey deepened. She became a member of Rising Sun Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Aaron Campbell, Sr., and made the life-changing decision to accept Christ Jesus as her Lord and Savior.

Martha embraced life fully and joyfully. She found peace in fishing, laughter in family gatherings, and fulfillment in styling hair—sharing beauty with others through her creative touch. A lover of music and dancing, she brought light and laughter wherever she went. Her radiant personality, rich humor, and compassionate heart left lasting impressions on all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Junior and Lillie Stewart; her brother-in-law, Nelson Shepard; and her great-niece, Majesty Jones.

Martha transitioned peacefully on July 13, 2025, at Baptist Health Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas, surrounded by her devoted family.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength through her two children:

  • Takaya Ta’marrance Evans of Helena, AR
  • Terrance Evans, Jr. of Memphis, TN

She is also survived by six siblings:

  • Hattie Stewart-Shepard of Memphis, TN
  • Patricia Stewart of Memphis, TN
  • Stephanie Stewart Dillard of Jacksonville, FL
  • Mary Jones of Texas
  • Elizabeth Stewart of West Helena, AR
  • Timothy Stewart, her brother, of West Helena, AR

Additionally, she is cherished by four grandchildren and a host of beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
