Walter Moore Jr., affectionately known as “June” to all who loved him, passed away on April 17, 2025, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, at the age of 72. Born on June 3, 1952, in West Helena, Arkansas, June was the fifth child of Alice and Walter Moore. He grew up surrounded by love and strong family values, which shaped the man he became. A bright and curious young man, he graduated from Eliza Miller High School in 1970, ranking 20th in his class and majoring in accounting and economics. After high school, he served in the U.S. Army as a Radio Repairman and Field Technician.
He is survived by many who will miss him deeply:
His Aunt Hazel Martin; sisters Berniece (Stephen) Wright Sr. of Carson, CA, and Vira (Ronald) Henry of North Little Rock, AR; sons Walt Edger Moore of South Carolina, and Quinton (Candace) Moore of Wichita, KS; daughters Torie Moore of North Little Rock, AR, and Andrea (Myris) Crawford of Scott, AR. June was a grandfather to five grandchildren and a great-grandfather to one. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
