Visitation will be held Friday, May 9, 2025 at Jackson - Highley Funeral Home Chapel, West Helena Arkansas from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Phillips, Lee, Monroe and Desha District Center, Helena Crossing, Helena Arkansas. Interment will follow immediately at New Zion Cemetery, West Helena Arkansas.

Samuel “Sam” Zakarious Sayeed Rogers was born November 24, 2002 to the late Gary Rogers and Keigan Thompson in Helena, Arkansas. He transitioned from this earthly life to his heavenly reward April 21, 2025 in Helena, Arkansas.

Samuel confessed a hope in Jesus Christ at an early age at Wofford Chapel Missionary Baptist under the leadership of Pastor Roy L. Williams, Sr.

Samuel received his formal education within the Helena – West Helena School District. He was a proud graduate of Central High School Class of 2023.

Samuel was a very happy go-lucky person and had a great love for his dogs. He loved to play ball, his game, hanging out with friends, and most definitely spending time with his family.

On Monday, April 21, 2025 Samuel closed his book of life after twenty-two years at Progressive Health of Helena with his mother, stepfather, and aunt by his side.

Samuel was preceded in death by his father; Gary Rogers, grandmother; JoAnne Thompson, grandfather; Willie Ed Thompson, great grandmother; Oscie Thompson, aunt; Stephanie Thompson, and great aunt; Julia Thompson.

Samuel will forever be cherished by his loving mother; Keigan (Greg) Thompson, his brothers; Trezon Rogers, Braylon Rogers, Greg Branscomb, Jr., sisters; Harmoni Thompson, Kleigh Branscomb, uncles; Damon Thompson, Brian (Amanda) Eaton, Corderius Thomas, aunts; Lakisha Eaton, Tristan Thompson, Beyonce Thompson, Shatara Thompson, Tiffany Giles, Yolanda Burton, Jaydarius Braggs, God sister; Jonashu Young, special friends; Amyiah Jyaire Bryant, Reggie Hubbard, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and beloved friends.
