Visitation will be held Friday, March 21, 2025 at Jackson - Highley Funeral Home Chapel, West Helena Arkansas from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Phillips, Lee, Monroe and Desha District Center, Helena Crossing, Helena Arkansas. Interment will follow immediately at Jackson Memorial Cemetery, Lexa Arkansas.
Andre Kentarious Clark was born at Helena Hospital on June 28, 1984 to Polly Holmes. Andre professed his hope in Christ at an early age and was baptized at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Cecil Coleman.
Andre attended the Helena-West Helena School District where he participated in many activities but had a special love and passion for JROTC. He graduated with honors in 2002. He went on to further his education attending Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas. During his tenure at A-State he pledged Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated and crossed into Kappa Land on March 21, 2005. He later graduated and received a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology. After graduation Andre relocated to Jonesboro, Georgia and later relocated to Stone Mountain, Georgia.
On August 25, 2019, Andre accepted his calling to the ministry at the Shaw Temple African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church in Smyrna, Georgia under the leadership of the illustrious Pastor Eldren D. Morrison. Andre LOVED his pastor and his church family dearly. He was a dedicated, faithful servant at Shaw Temple. There was nothing he wouldn’t do for his church and church family. He remained a faithful servant until his health began to fail causing him to return to Helena-West Helena.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother; Evia Arter-Holmes, and his uncle; James “Sonny” Holmes.
Andre leaves behind to cherish his memories his loving mother; Polly (Orville) Jiles, his daughter; Auniyah Clark, four sisters; Kimberly (Reggie) Rose of Helena-West Helena AR, Shanikh (Daris) Brown of Batesville AR, Angel Fonzie, Candy Bridget both of Helena-West Helena AR, two brothers; Bennie Fonzie, Jr. of Helena-West Helena AR, Damian Fonzie of Atlanta GA, three step siblings; Gregg Jiles, Nedra Jiles, Orville Jiles, Jr., three aunts; Billie Jean Holmes-McCray, San Jose (Lloyd) Fraction, Patricia Arter-Moore, Jeanette Holmes, special cousins; Markius Carpenter, Roderick Fraction, Rinalldo Holmes, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
