Visitation will be held Friday, February 14, 2025 at Jackson - Highley Funeral Home Chapel, West Helena Arkansas from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Greater Powerhouse Church of God and Christ, 315 Ladino Street, West Helena Arkansas. Interment will follow immediately at Jackson Memorial Cemetery, Lexa Arkansas.
William” Beal” Ingram Johnson, Jr. was born August 29,1959 to the late William Johnson and Mattie B. Ingram Johnson. He was raised by his grandparents, the late Virginia and James Ingram.
Beal confessed a hope in Christ at an early age at the New Beginning Missionary Baptist Church in Clarksdale, Mississippi. He graduated from Central High School Class of 1978 in Helena-West Helena, Arkansas. Beal retired from the Helena-West Helena School District after over 43 years of service as a Bus Driver, Mechanic, and Maintenance Engineer.
Beal was united in marriage to Dorothy Mae Johnson on July 3, 2000. He was a devoted husband and father. He truly cherished his family. In his spare time, he loved riding motorcycles (he was a member of the Delta Riders Motorcycle Club) and watching football (“Go Dallas Cowboys”)!
On Sunday, February 2, 2025, Beal transitioned from labor to reward. Beal was preceded in death by his wife; Dorothy Mae Johnson, his maternal grandparents; James and Virginia Ingram, parents; William and Mattie B. Johnson, siblings; Pearlie Sue Maddox, Betty Jean Johnson, granddaughter; Shania Renea McDowell, niece; Latoya Holder, and others.
Beal leaves to cherish his memories one daughter; Leondra Ingram of Devenport IA, one son; Webster (Shamiko) Johnson of Jacksonville AR, two stepsons; Derrick (Vivian) Davis of Clinton MS, Gene Williams, Jr. of Eldorado AR, one stepdaughter; Yvonne (Terry) Gray of Jonesboro AR, one sister; Joann Gaines of Chicago IL, three grandsons; Nilziar Ingram, TiiKevin Ingram both of Davenport IA, Xavier Johnson of Jacksonville AR, one granddaughter; Aniviya Ingram of Davenport IA and host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
