Visitation will be held Friday, October 19, 2018 at Jackson - Highley Funeral Home Chapel, West Helena Arkansas from 4 - 7 p.m. Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 20, 2018 at the P.L.M. and D. District Center, Helena Crossing Arkansas at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow immediately at the Glass Family Cemetery, Helena Arkansas.
Mimie was born November 21, 1944 to the late Asbe Tefera and Tirunesh Haile in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. She was the wife of the late Everett Glass, Sr. She died Sunday, October 7, 2018 with loving family members and her nurse at her side.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving children: Everett “Skipper” Glass, Sara (Eric) Jackson, and Miriam Glass; grandchildren: Brandon Glass, Asbe Glass, Haile Jackson, and Kyle Jackson; Joseph Walker (a special friend of the family who was like a grandson to her); and great grandchildren: Aria Glass and Ashton Glass.
She also leaves to cherish her memory, her loving sisters and brother: Wollansa (Jose-Maria) Pehoua, Asbe (Fran) Tefera, Sephonia (Yohannes) Tessema, and Aida “Susie” Smith; her loving in-laws: Berhanu Indale, William “Duke” (LaTanya) Glass, Dorothy Glass, and Willie King; a special aunt: Willie Stean “Stean” Williams; a special cousin: Beatrice Green; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
