Visitation will be held Friday, January 17, 2025 at Jackson - Highley Funeral Home Chapel, West Helena Arkansas from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Beautiful Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 218 Pontotoc, Helena Arkansas. Interment will follow immediately at Jackson Memorial Cemetery, Lexa Arkansas.
Geraldine Doyle was born March 27, 1957 in Itta Bena, Mississippi to the late Earnestine Swinney and Erskine Adams.
Geraldine confessed her hope in Christ at an early age under the leadership of the late Reverend Robert Hudson.
Affectionately known as “Jean,” united in Holy Matrimony to Marvin Doyle on September 15, 2000. They made Helena their home and remained there until her death.
Geraldine was a dedicated member of Beautiful Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Helena Arkansas under the leadership of Reverend Danny Robinson. She was a faithful choir member. She enjoyed singing, playing Bingo, and laughing. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grand and great grandchildren. She also loved traveling with her husband Marin Doyle.
Geraldine is preceded in death by her parents; Earnestine and Jim Swinney, Erskine Adams, grandparents; Mary and Sam Johnson, Jessie Foots, aunt; Emma Johnson and son; Larry Ralleigh.
Geraldine was called to her heavenly home January 2, 2025 at Baptist Health Hospital, Little Rock, Arkansas.
Geraldine leaves to cherish her memories her husband; Marvin Doyle of Helena AR, two daughters; Sumester (Charles) Armstrong, Sherrell Johnson both of Jonesboro AR, two sons; Earl (Toni) Ralleigh, Jr., James Ralleigh both of Helena AR, three sisters; Christine Ford of East St. Louis IL, Charlene Adams, Bertha Adams both of Chicago IL, four brothers; Donald Swinney, Michael (Shay) Swinney, Sr. of Jonesboro AR, John (Angela) Grace of Hammond IN, Charles Adams of Chicago IL, a special cousin/sister; Linda (David) Tripplet, grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
