Visitation will be held Friday, January 10, 2025 at Jackson - Highley Funeral Home Chapel, West Helena Arkansas from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Phillips, Lee, Monroe and Desha District Center, Helena Crossing, Helena Arkansas. Interment will follow immediately at Jackson Memorial Cemetery, Lexa Arkansas.
Curtis Tobar was born August 26, 1970 to the late Willie and Aretha Tobar in West Helena, Arkansas. He departed this earthly life on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Curtis confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and united with the Greater First Baptist Church in West Helena, Arkansas. Where he served as an usher in his early years.
Curtis received his formal education within the Helena – West Helena School District. He was a proud 1990 graduate of Central High School.
Curtis was a hard-working man. He was employed at United Initiators of Helena. He was a loving brother and friend to his family. He stayed to himself never wanting to leave his hometown that he was so fond of.
Curtis is preceded in death by his parents; Willie and Aretha Tobar, three brothers; Willie C. Tobar, Freeman Tobar, Freddie Tobar, and one sister; Dollether Tobar.
Curtis leaves to cherish his memories his loving fiancée; Minnie House of West Helena AR, four brother; Jerry Tobar, Alvin (Loretha) Tobar, Cardell (Barbara) Tobar all of Detroit MI, Melvin (Blossem) Tobar of Chattanooga TN, one special uncle; Lawrence Tobar of Forrest City AR, a sister-in-law; Doris Tobar of Detroit MI, three special children; Ratisha House of Benton AR, Matel Butcher of Little Rock AR, Anastasia Butcher of West Helena AR, a special friend/neighbor; Ms. Beaulah Golida who was like a mother to him, a caring cousin; Emma (Paul) Wright of Forrest City AR, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
