Visitation will be held Friday, January 17, 2025 at Truevine Missionary Baptist Church, 415 West Garland Street, West Helena Arkansas from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Truevine Missionary Baptist Church, 415 West Garland Street, West Helena Arkansas. Interment will follow immediately at Jackson Memorial Cemetery, Lexa Arkansas.
Catherine Thomas Brown, age 96 of West Helena, Arkansas transitioned peacefully on December 31, 2024. Catherine was born in Poplar Grove, Arkansas on December 15, 1928, to the late Chester and Alice Thomas.
Catherine lived a long-blessed life in which she loved to spend time with family, cook, and serve the Lord. She confessed a hope in Christ at True Vine Missionary Baptist Church, West Helena Arkansas where she remained a faithful servant until her health declined. She served as an usher, church secretary, and kitchen worker.
Catherine was the eldest of seven siblings, they all preceded her in death, making her the last to complete the circle. She is also preceded in death by husband; Espy Brown, son; Edward Taylor, and grandson; Brandon Taylor.
Catherine leaves to cherish her memories her children; Ellouise Taylor-Peters, Marvin Taylor, Sr., Gwendolyn Taylor, Carlisa Prather, her grandchildren; Clanci Taylor-Brown, Kevin Taylor, Marvin Taylor, Jr., Carl Prather, Michael Taylor, Catie Prather, and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
