Tabor Missionary Baptist Church,1160 Holly Street, Helena Arkansas from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church,1160 Holly Street, Helena Arkansas. Interment will follow immediately at Jackson Memorial Cemetery, Lexa Arkansas.
Henry Lonzo, affectionately known as “Hank,” was born June 30, 1946, in West Helena, Arkansas, to Bernice (Hill) Lonzo and Willie Lonzo. Henry peacefully transitioned from his earthly home to his eternal heavenly home Sunday, December 29, 2024.
Henry professed his faith in Jesus Christ at an early age. His belief in God shaped his life and relationships. Known for his warm spirit and generous heart, Henry will be remembered for his exceptional cooking abilities, his remarkable skills as an auto mechanic, and his ability to tackle even the toughest repairs with originality and dedication.
An Alumni of Eliza Miller helped steer his passion of being a Renowned Chef, Professional Gardner, Fishing Expert, Frequenting the drag strip; but most of all cherishing time spent with his beloved family. Always willing to lend a helping hand, he left a legacy of selflessness that will endure in the hearts of those who knew him.
Henry is preceded in death by his parents; Willie and Bernice Lonzo, brothers: Melvin, Joseph and Willie B. Lonzo, sisters: Lois Hilliard and Claudine Lonzo Payne.
Henry leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Tempie M. Lonzo; his loving daughter, Bernice Lonzo; and three sons: Steven (Re’Shane) Lonzo, Dionysus Jackson, and Eddie (Trina) Jackson. He is also survived by three brothers, Charles (Deloris) Lonzo, Sammie (Georgia) Lonzo of Arkansas and Jerry Lonzo of Georgia; 2 sisters, Elizabeth Cockerham and Lula Winfield of Illinois; nine grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends who will deeply miss him.
Henry’s life was a blessing to all who knew him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of his loved ones.
Rest in peace, Hank. Your love and light will never be forgotten.
