James Willis, Jr. was born July 27, 1974 to the late James Lee Willis, Jr. and Luellar Willis in Helena, Arkansas. He transitioned from this earthly life to his heavenly home December 1, 2024 in West Helena, Arkansas.

Affectionately known by many as “Pumkin” or “J – Roc,” he obtained his educational foundation within the Helena – West Helena School District. Completing course requirements through Arkansas Job Corp.

James was united in Holy Matrimony to Angela J. Murry. To this union two daughters were born and a bonus daughter gained.

J – Roc returned to West Helena, Arkansas where he worked multiple jobs such as: Hill & Hill Construction Company and Butcher Block Grocery Store where he remained until his health began to decline in 2023.

James is preceded in death by his father; James Lee Willis, Jr., his grandmother; Florence Mae Willis, and his grandfather; James Lee Willis, Sr.

James leaves to cherish his memories his children; Jasmine Willis, of Little Rock AR, Jakayla Willis of North Little Rock AR, a bonus daughter; Keandrea White of North Little Rock AR, his mother; Luellar Willis of West Helena AR, siblings; Rickey White, Tyrone Willis, Sharon Willis, Dornis Willis all of West Helena AR, Carolyn Willis of Jonesboro AR, Jameica Willis of Memphis TN, the mother of his children; Angela Murry of North Little Rock, AR, three bonus grandchildren, and a host of nephew, nieces, cousins, and friends.
