Visitation will be held Friday, August 2, 2024 at Jackson - Highley Funeral Home Chapel, West Helena Arkansas from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Lucilia Wood Elementary School, Elaine Arkansas at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. at Arkansas Memorial Gardens, 8507 AR-161, North Little Rock Arkansas. We will follow CDC guidelines: mask, hand sanitizer, and the social distance standard of 6ft apart.
Danny Lamont Sanders, Sr, affectionately known to family and friends as “Candyboo” was born March 22, 1975. He confessed a hope in Christ at an early age at Brooks Chapel Church in Lambrook, Arkansas under the leadership of Reverend Artic James. Danny graduated from Elaine High School in 1995. He then furthered his education at Coahoma Community College in Clarksdale, Mississippi where he played football. After leaving college, Danny moved to Memphis, Tennessee, and later moved to Little Rock, Arkansas.
Danny was united in Holy Matrimony to Retriya Grayson. To their union five children were born the late Danny, Jr., Demetris, Aliya, Darius, and Acacia Sanders.
Danny was a hard worker and a successful entrepreneur for twenty-three years. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren. They were his pride and joy. Danny enjoyed spending time with his family and playing dominos. He was a jokester who loved to make people laugh. Danny transitioned from this earthly life to his eternal home on July 23, 2024 at his residence in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Danny leaves to cherish his precious memories a beloved stepmother; Ruthie Brown, his children; Demetris (Lee’Ondra) Sanders, Sr., Aliya (Kelan) Sanders, Darius (Cindy) Sanders, Acacia (Cyrus) Banks, Cierra Dotson, Ladawn Martin, Keaton Phillips, Jaylon Davis, grandchildren; Naziyah, Aniyah, Brooklyn, Kaiden, Braeden, Khylana, Demarion, Damian, Demetris, Jr., Darwin, Dee’Ondra, Ma’Leeyah, Levi Banks, siblings; Joann (James White) Magsby, Monica Wilborn, Donna (Dallas) Smith, Cassandra Wade, Latunga Brown, Antonio Sanders, Lavator (Viola) Thomas, Jonathan Thomas, Nolan “Pete” Watson, Thomas Brown, Jr., Rejonski Grayson, God daughter; Sharne Lee, best friend whom he considered a brother; Perry Reed, and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
