A baby girl, born March 11, 1929 to the late Albert, Sr. and Roxie Wilbon was given the name Ossie. She was affectionately called “O.C.” and “Nanny.”

She was a loving person and an affectionate caregiver at heart.

In 1943 at the age of fourteen, under the leadership of the late Reverend A.T. Thomas she confessed a hope in Christ here at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Sister Ossie remained a faithful member until July 11, 2024. She often expressed the love she had for her church and especially her pastor, Reverend Ja’Sean D. Smith. She stated she felt he also loved her dearly. Sister Ossie was the oldest member in this church. She often followed her pastor to programs and visited other churches far and near. Although she moved to Hot Springs, Arkansas with her son; Ira Lynn (also known as “Lee”), his wife; Christine, and their family, she came home to her church as often as she could.

After graduating from M.M. Tate, Mr. A.B. Robinson chose her as his bride. To this union three children were born; Alice Marie, Dwight Glenn, and Ira Lynn.

Mrs. Ossie spent much of her time on the fish bank fishing with as many as five poles at a time.

Mrs. Robinson exercised her caregiving skills at Crestpark Skilled and Cedar Lodge Nursing Facilities. She later retired from Cedar Lodge.

Preceding her in “going home” are her parents; her husband; A.B. Robinson, their daughter; Alice Marie “Dek” Robinson, her father-in-law; Ira Robinson, her mother-in-law; Alice Robinson – Davis, siblings; Ollie Mae (J.T.), Naomi (Boycie), L.D. (Ollie, Jr.), Farris (Armelia), Cassie (William), Albert, Jr., J.C., brothers-in-law; A.D., Elmo, Felix, Jr., and Vivian.

Sister Ossie, “Nanny” will forever be loved and her memory dearly cherished by her sons; Dwight Glenn, Ira Lynn (Christine), devoted granddaughter; Jennifer Williams, additional grands; Jeremy, Qwendolyn (Ogechi) Kalu, Christopher, Kayla (Ryan) Williams, Terrance Robinson, extended grandsons; Gervante, De’Antre, eighteen great grandchildren, three extended great grands, one great great grandson; Kyler Zyaire Williams, sisters; Alma, Maxine, Christine (Shedrick, Jr.) also affectionately considered to be her Goddaughter, sisters-in-law; Serina Robinson, Mercie Wilborn, Linda Wilborn, special friends; Dorothy Johnson, Jean Davis, Annie Pike, her many many nephews, nieces, greats, friends, Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church Family, and Pastor Ja’Sean D. Smith all of whom she loved dearly.
