Visitation will be held Friday, May 3, 2024 at Jackson - Highley Funeral Home Chapel, West Helena Arkansas from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Manasseh Christian Fellowship, 855 Airport Road, West Helena Arkansas. Interment will follow immediately at New Zion Cemetery, West Helena Arkansas. We will follow CDC guidelines: mask, hand sanitizer, and the social distance standard of 6ft apart.
Catrina Rena Edwards transitioned from this earthly life to her heavenly home at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas on April 20, 2024.
She was born on August 8, 1980 to her parents, Rosa Mae Rattler and Luther Williams, Sr. Catrina attended Central High School until 11th grade. She returned later to Phillips County Community College in order to obtain her GED. Years after obtaining her GED, she began working at UAMS Hospital located in Little Rock, Arkansas. After seven years of employment, she was promoted to the position of Assistant Director over the Janitorial Department.
At the age of 16, Catrina confessed a hope in Christ and was baptized at New Haven Missionary Baptist Church by the late Reverend G.G. Brown.
She was preceded death by her grandparent; Betty Lee Crowder and Lonnie Rattler, Sr., a sister; Karcara Williams, three aunts; Pasty Rattler, Deborah Rattler, Zelma Rattler, as well as a cousin; Joyce Price.
Catrina leaves to cherish her memory her parents; one son; Kynderious Riley of Little Rock AR, two daughters; Jacina Riley, Chasity Edwards both of Tunica MS, as well as two grandchildren; Charlie Bass, Jr., Chance Bass, six brothers; Edmond Reese, Tanadreaus Rattler both of West Helena AR, Luther Williams, III, Falandric Williams, Jonathan Williams, Travis Williams all of Chicago IL, one sister; Falisha Williams of Chicago IL, three aunts; Earnestine Rattler, Letha Rattler both of West Helena AR, Barbara Knowlton of Dallas TX, two uncles; Lorenzo Rattler of West Helena AR, Mark Rattler of Midwest City OK, a loving Godmother; Shirley Key Garner, two Godbrothers; Andre Crawford, Aubrey Garner, III both of West Helena AR, and a host of nephews, nieces, and friends.
Catrina was creative and intelligent with a vivacious personality, She truly loved others as God commanded us.
