Visitation will be held Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Jackson - Highley Funeral Home Chapel from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at Jackson - Highley Funeral Home Chapel, West Helena Arkansas Interment will be announced at a later date at Jackson Memorial Cemetery, Lexa Arkansas. We will follow CDC guidelines: mask, hand sanitizer, and the social distance standard of 6ft apart.
Mr. Leonard “Jetmo” Getter, was born on September 17, 1948, to the late Mr. Ulysses and Atlen who proceeded him in death. On Friday, March 1, 2024 at Crestpark of Helena, Helena-West Helena, Arkansas, Leonard “Jetmo” Getter departed this life.
The fourth of nine children, his wife; Katherine, son; Leonard, Jr., siblings; James, Georgia, Eula, and nephew; Anthony “Tony” Sharp all proceeded him in death.
Cherishing his memories, Brothers; Robert (Dorothy) Fire, of Helena AR, Calvin Getter of Helena AR, Sisters; Dorothy Getter-Stokes of Jacksonville AR, Cathy (Nathaniel) Getter-Jacobs of Lexa AR, and Pat Getter-Turner of Maumelle AR. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Leonard accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior at an early age at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church in Helena, Arkansas. Leonard enjoyed working on cars and being around his family.
