Visitation will be held Friday, March 1, 2024 at Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 1108 Pecan Street, Helena Arkansas from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Graveside service will be held Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Jackson Memorial Cemetery, Lexa Arkansas. We will follow CDC guidelines: mask, hand sanitizer, and the social distance standard of 6ft apart.
Larry Edwards was born December 10, 1952 in Helena, Arkansas to the late Elnora Edwards. He transitioned from this earthly life to receive his heavenly reward February 21, 2024.
Larry accepted Christ at an early age and often shared his ministry with his action figures or on any given opportunity to speak on the greatness of our Lord and Savior. He was a faithful member of Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Helena Arkansas and the pastor of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, Helena Arkansas. He was not committed to just any one church, but he actively fellowshipped with many churches in the surrounding area and beyond. He had a passion for music, and he loved sharing his musical talents. Larry served in various capacities within the church, first being a minister, a musician, an usher, a deacon, a choir member, and a choir director just to name a few.
Larry is preceded in death by his mother; Elnora Edwards, two sisters; Olivia Edwards, Lenna Edwards, three brothers; Roosevelt Ervin, Joe Will Suggs, and Alvey Edwards.
Larry leaves to cherish his loving memory a brother; Asey Edwards, two special nephews; Charrell Dixon, Anthony Edwards, a special niece; Sade` Slack, and a host of relatives, extended family, and friends.
