Visitation will be held Friday, February 9, 2024 at Jackson - Highley Funeral Home, West Helena Arkansas from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Twin City Church of Christ, 1615 US 49, West Helena Arkansas. Interment will be held Monday, February 12, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery - North Little Rock, 1501 W. Maryland Ave, North Little Rock Arkansas. We will follow CDC guidelines:  mask, hand sanitizer, and the social distance standard of 6ft apart. Mrs. Jackson's service may be viewed live through ZOOM. Missionary Georgia Jackson was born September 24, 1942 in Laconia, Arkansas near Knowlton, Arkansas to the late George Washington Knowlton and Ethel Lee Nobel-Washington. She confessed and accepted Jesus Christ into her life at an early age. She attended Elementary School in Knowlton, Arkansas; Henrico Middle School, and Carrie I King Junior High and High School.  She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Elder Ruben Jackson for 46 years. They were blessed with ten children.

Missionary Georgia Jackson was a dedicated worker and worked in several affiliated churches. She enjoyed praising the Lord daily, studying God’s word, caring of her elderly neighbors, and being a faithful servant to the Lord. She is a member of the Church of Holiness under the leadership of Pastor Willie Moody. She served on the Mother Board and Minster Georgia Jackson spoke every 3rd Sunday. She also attended and served at Fresh Anointing under the leadership of Pastor David Jackson. She served as a faithful member of Lakeview Church of God In Christ under the leadership of Elder Ruby Anderson. She served as Assistance Pastor as Elder Ruben Jackson’s wife, Assistance Secretary, and Senior Sunday School Teacher. She also served as a faithful member to Christ Temple Church of God In Christ under the leadership of Elder McArthur Dismuke and later Elder Williams. She served as Junior Sunday School Teacher. She enjoyed working in varies positions in the churches she served in, and she raised her children to love the Lord, stay a faithful servant to the Lord, and always keep the Lord first in their lives.

Missionary Georgia Jackson worked for Bobby Brooks (The Garment Factory) for eleven years. She was also an Avon Representative for thirty-six years and she served as a safe haven for the Foster Care Program for several children for five years. She was an entrepreneur and sold many items at The Farmers’ Market in Helena, Arkansas for eight years. She sold Fresh Vegetables, Jellies, Chow-Chow, Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Peppers, Okra, and etc., every Saturday. She and dad enjoyed selling their fresh vegetables that they grew in their garden. She received many awards, from Avon, such as the President Club, Rose Society, Honor Society, and Top Seller of the Year.  At the State Fair, she entered fresh vegetables and canning goods to be judged in different cities like Marvell, Jonesboro, and West Memphis. She won several first and second places ribbons on several of her items she entered in the State Fair.

Missionary Georgia Jackson was proceeded in death by husband; Elder Ruben Jackson, her father; George Washington-Knowlton, mother; Ethel Lee Nobel-Knowlton, her aunt; Mattie Lee (R.B) Nobel-Johnson, her grandmother; Olevia McClain, her twin brothers; Albert and Alfred Knowlton, her sisters; Willie Rea Knowlton-Smith, Anita (Bill) Knowlton-Traylor, three children; Edmond Johnson, Norman Johnson, and Yvette Jackson.

Missionary Georgia Jackson greatest joy was being married to the late Elder Ruben Jackson for 47 years. She leaves to cherish their ten children; Terry Johnson of Fort Lauderdale FL, Vernon (Sonya) Turner of Douglasville GA, Charles Smith of Chicago IL, Carletta (Rickey) Burchett of Little Rock AR, Beverly Johnson of Marvell AR, Anita Johnson-Clash of Little Rock AR, Jessie (Louise) Johnson of Pine Bluff AR, Demetric Johnson of West Helena AR, Antonio (Kotina) Jackson of Temple TX, Debra Perry of Sacramento CA, twenty grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, a loving aunt; Queen Ester (Greg) Wimpie of Chicago IL, a devoted friend of 50 years; Alberta Mills, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends who knew and loved her, especially her children and grandchildren.
