Visitation will be held Friday, January 5, 2024 at Jackson - Highley Funeral Home Chapel, West Helena Arkansas from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 6, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Phillips, Lee, Monroe, and Desha District Center, Helena Crossing, Helena Arkansas. Interment will follow immediately at Jackson Memorial Cemetery, Lexa Arkansas. We will follow CDC guidelines: mask, hand sanitizer, and the social distance standard of 6ft apart.
William Lee Jones was born to the late Ora Lee and Elang Jones, Sr. on November 30, 1952. He was the fifth of twelve children.
William Lee Jones confessed a hope in Christ at the Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, Lexa Arkansas under the leadership of Reverend Malcom Curne, Sr. William was a faithful member and usher until his health declined.
On December 10, 1988, William Lee married the love of his life, Melissa Eaton – Jones. To this union two children were born and a family was blended.
William was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter; Tracy Jones, eight brothers, two sisters, and a nephew.
William Lee Jones departed his earthly home to his eternal home on December 20, 2023 at 7:30 a.m. at the Crestpark Nursing Home.
William leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of thirty-five years; Melissa Jones, four sons; Derrick Jones, William Lamar Eaton both of Wasau WI, Eddie Earl Eaton of West Helena AR, Jeffery Lee Washington of Jonesboro AR, three daughters; Victoria Ward of West Helena AR, Michelle Eaton of Arlington TX, Teresa Coleman of Los Angeles CA, one brother; Larry Jones of West Helena AR, one sister; Nadine Campbell of St. Louis MO, fifteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren, five sisters-in-laws, two brothers-in-law, and a host of other relatives and friends.
